The DMP application also supports "time-shifting" where you can pause a live TV channel. Under windows the same DMP application is nearly instantaneous and responds a lot quicker. It was extremely slow and almost unusable. The only thing that annoyed us here was the performance of the DMP application in its non-windows mode. Using the Jog dial we were easily able to access a comprehensive variety of options ranging from TV watching to accessing music, movies and stored images. Our second test involved testing the media –center functionality of the PC. DVI as compared to D-Sub offers sharper images and richer colors. Also another gripe we have is the inexplicable absence of a DVI input on the graphic card. We didn’t bother running PCmark 2006 on this system as it sports a very average Nvidia 6200 series card which won’t run any modern day game and is best used only for multimedia purposes.
